Fire Door Installation

Following a fire door survey EAL will be able to carry out the installation of fire doors. This will be required when it is not possible or appropriate to maintain/remediate an existing fire door.

Our operatives are highly skilled joiner’s who are experienced in working with fire doors. They will be under the direct supervision of the EAL Approved Person, who will be responsible for inspecting and signing off all fire door installation works.

All fire door installations will be carried out under the BM Trada Q Mark Fire Door Installation Scheme. They will be fully certified fire doors.

Clients will be provided with very robust supporting documentation so they can assured that the work has been carried out satisfactorily by a competent person using the correct products. The documentation includes –

• Fire test evidence; global assessments etc for the products used.

• Manufacturer’s installation/maintenance documents.

• Product data sheets.

• A record of installation activities (RIA) form listing all fire doors installed (including photographs of before, during and after the installation).

• Each fire door installed will be traceable via the Q Mark plugging system if Q Mark fire door doors are installed. For all other non – Q mark certified fire doors that are fitted the installation will be traceable by the Q Mark labelling system. Both systems link the door to the RIA form.
